CASPer
The CASPer Test (Computer-Based Assessment for Sampling Personal Characteristics) is an innovative, situational judgment test designed to evaluate key non-cognitive traits such as empathy, ethics, collaboration, and problem-solving in high-stakes fields like medicine, nursing, dentistry, and teaching. Unlike traditional exams, CASPer presents test-takers with realistic, text- or video-based scenarios and asks them to respond to open-ended questions under time constraints.
The test is structured around nine core tenets—including professionalism, communication, and moral judgment—which serve as the foundation for scoring. Fortunately, CASPer is highly coachable because these tenets provide a clear framework for crafting strong responses. By mastering strategies like structured reasoning, empathetic communication, and ethical prioritisation, test-takers can systematically improve their performance, making CASPer preparation both strategic and effective.

Read below for a brief overview of the core tenets, and their general way of being assessed.
