These guides are general, drawn from publicly available information, may change between admissions cycles, and are not official advice - always confirm current requirements with UCAS and each medical school. Formats and admissions tests change; some schools select without a competitive interview and are not listed here.

Traditional panel interview

A few schools use an academic panel interview rather than an MMI. The communication, ethics and motivation work still transfers directly, but the format differs. Confirm the current format with each school.

How to prepare for a UK medicine interview

Whether the format is an MMI or a panel, UK medical interviews look past rehearsed scripts at how you actually think and relate to people: empathy, clear communication, ethical reasoning, and genuine motivation for medicine. Key2MD lets you practise realistic MMI stations - spoken, typed or role-played - and get structured AI feedback on the criteria interviewers reward. Your first review is free.

If you are still preparing for the admissions test, the same account includes free UCAT practice with instant marking.
