First session - secured booking

Let's lock in your first session properly.

First-time bookings are secured with a $300 deposit. It goes straight onto your session - it is not an extra charge - and it lets me hold the time for you with confidence.

First, thank you for choosing to work with me - I genuinely look forward to it. I just need to be upfront about one thing before we book.

I am a current medical student, and through peak MMI and interview season I have very little free time. When a session is booked, I plan my day, my study and my other students around it. When a first-time booking is cancelled at the last minute or quietly forgotten, that hour cannot be refilled - it is genuinely lost time and lost income at the busiest point of my year. I have had this happen enough times that I can no longer absorb it, and I am sorry to have to put a guard in place.

So that I can keep saying yes to students and protect everyone's time, first-time sessions are now secured with a $300 deposit. It is fully applied to your session - you are not paying anything extra - it simply confirms the booking is real on both sides. I hope that feels fair; it is the only way I can keep offering 1:1 time reliably right now.

The honest reason, plainly

A cancelled session is lost revenueAn empty hour at short notice cannot be rebooked, so it costs me the full session - there is no way to recover it.
Peak season, no spare timeAs a med student during MMI and interview season, my hours are genuinely scarce. Holding a slot for you means turning others away.
It keeps things fair for everyoneStudents who show up shouldn't lose access because slots get held by bookings that don't happen. A deposit keeps the calendar real.
It is your session credit, not a feeThe full $300 is applied to your first session. If we both show up - which is the plan - it costs you nothing extra.

What happens next

Once your deposit is in, reply to my message (or the confirmation email) with your preferred times and what you want to focus on - CASPer, MMI, GAMSAT S2 or strategy. I will confirm the time and send the Zoom link before we meet. Returning students who I already work with do not need to use this page.
