Griffith calls its interview assessment GUMSAA. Its published candidate guidance describes selection using GPA and GAMSAT followed by an online assessment of personal and professional attributes. - Clear reasoning - you name the tension and weigh more than one side before acting.
- Professionalism - sensible handling of safety, confidentiality and competing interests.
- Human communication - plain, warm explanation over jargon.
- Genuine engagement with the person in role-play stations.
Common mistakes we see
- Reaching for jargon instead of clear explanation.
- Generic answers that could fit any applicant.
- Not engaging with the person in front of you.
- Answers that sound rehearsed and break under a follow-up.
About the Griffith MD program
Griffith's Doctor of Medicine is a graduate-entry program of around four years, based on the Gold Coast with placements across South-East Queensland including regional sites. Teaching is integrated and case-based with early clinical exposure. Confirm the current structure with Griffith.
