Can I set the mock to match my university's interview format?
Yes, and the controls are separate so you are never forced into a bundle. On both MMI mocks you choose how many of a station's five questions get asked, anywhere from 1 to 5. You set the reading window up to 3 minutes and the answering window up to 10 minutes, to the second. You also choose whether every question appears at once or one at a time as an examiner would ask them. Whatever you set applies to every station in that mock.
Do I choose the stations?
No, and that is deliberate. The Baseline MMI Mock runs a fixed set of eight stations built to span every theme an interview tests. The Full MMI Mock assigns you a complete exam you have not sat before, so buying a second one gives you eight different stations. The Full CASPer Mock assigns a fresh unused mock on every purchase.
Who writes the stations?
Dan writes every station in every mock by hand, built around a specific tension rather than a generic dilemma. The Full MMI Mock stations are kept off the free practice bank, so they are new to you when you sit them.
How long does a mock take?
The Full MMI Mock takes about 75 minutes on standard timing, and longer if you choose extended answering windows. The Baseline MMI Mock depends on the format you pick. The Full CASPer Mock Exam runs the real 11-station length. Set aside the time in one block: splitting it defeats the point.
Can I pause partway through?
The mock saves your progress, so a genuine interruption does not cost you the purchase. It is not designed to be paused mid-station though, and pausing to think or look something up makes the result meaningless.
What is the difference between Transcript and Premium marking?
Transcript marks the substance of what you said: your reasoning, empathy, structure and communication, station by station. Premium adds the delivery read on top: pace, filler words, vocal variation and on-camera presence, on every station in the mock.
Can Dan mark my mock himself?
Yes. Every mock is marked automatically first so you get the report immediately. From your report you can send one station to Dan for a manual review for $60, or the whole eight-station MMI mock for $300.
Do I need a subscription?
No. Each mock is a one-off purchase that covers the whole sitting. If you do hold an MMI Pro or CASPer Pro subscription, the discount is applied automatically at checkout. See all plans.
Is the marking a real interview score?
No. The marking is practice feedback built on Dan's coaching framework and is not an official score from any university or exam provider, and no result here predicts an admissions outcome. It is designed to show you what an interviewer would react to and what to change.
