UQ Medicine uses unweighted GAMSAT and key-degree GPA.

UQ is especially important for Honours and higher-degree applicants because some key degrees are deemed to specific GPA values.

Minimum GPAUQ equivalent GPA of at least 5.0 in the designated key degree.
GAMSATUnweighted average of S1, S2 and S3, with every section at least 50.
Interview selection50:50 assessed GPA and unweighted average GAMSAT.
Rural applicantsRural-background applicants may receive adjustments to unweighted GAMSAT.

UQ GPA Overrides

UQ can treat specific completed key degrees as a deemed GPA. This is why a first-class Honours result can be strategically huge for UQ applicants.

What Students Miss

The ACER overall score is not the score UQ uses. If Section 3 is carrying your weighted score, your UQ result can be weaker than expected. If S1 and S2 are strong, UQ may look better than your overall GAMSAT suggests.

Enter S1, S2 and S3, then tick the UQ key-degree rule if it applies.
