Pathway: Domestic Joint Medical Program. Format: Multiple Skills Assessment (MSA); separate PQA.
Pathway and format source: official university guidance, accessed . Check your invitation for individual arrangements.
Treat each rotating assessment as a fresh interaction. Your invitation is the source for timing, location and instructions.
A practice exercise
Rotate through explaining a decision, listening to a concern and reflecting on feedback. After each, record one specific improvement instead of writing a script to repeat at the next station.
Keep in mind: The Personal Qualities Assessment is a separate task. Key2MD Casper practice is not presented as PQA preparation. The published January MSA window is for specified equity and regional pathways, not a general interstate round.
These are independent practice suggestions, not questions from the university or its marking criteria. You can use experiences from school, work, sport or caring responsibilities; do not invent clinical experience.

Published selection and interview guidance
The Joint Medical Program assesses academic eligibility and personal qualities. UCAT ANZ is used in selection for the Multiple Skills Assessment, which involves stations with scenarios or activities; a Personal Qualities Assessment may also be included. Read the JMP requirements for your entry pathway rather than treating every assessment as a conventional MMI.

Dan’s general interview preparation advice
The following is independent coaching advice. Adapt it to the published format above: clear reasoning, careful listening and specific reflection are useful across interview formats. These points are not the university’s assessment rubric.
- Authentic regional and rural interest - specific reasons rather than a rehearsed line.
- Empathy and clear communication in role-play and conversation.
- Sound ethical reasoning - naming the tension and weighing more than one side.
- Honest self-awareness.
Common mistakes we see
- A metro-only outlook when the program is regionally focused.
- Generic answers with no real connection to people or place.
- Talking over the other person in a role-play.
- Sounding rehearsed rather than genuine.
