How Melbourne selects for the MD

The University of Melbourne offers a graduate-entry Doctor of Medicine. Selection combines your GPA, the GAMSAT, and a multiple mini interview (MMI) for shortlisted applicants.

About the Melbourne MD program

Melbourne's Doctor of Medicine is a graduate-entry program of around four years, based in Melbourne with clinical placements across its teaching-hospital network. As a research-intensive Group of Eight university, the curriculum is case-based with strong academic and research grounding. Confirm the current structure with Melbourne.

Fees (approximate)

Most domestic students study in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) and pay the government-set annual student contribution for medicine - roughly AUD 10,000-11,000 per year as a 2025 guide, subject to change.
